A Haven of Hope
I founded Hope for Development and Empowerment (HDE) because I know firsthand the challenges of losing loved ones at a young age. By the time I was 15, I had lost my parents and stepmother, leaving me to care for my siblings on my own. Despite these hardships and the challenges of starting over in New Zealand, I built a new life—and with it, a passion for empowering orphans and single mothers.

HDE offers education, practical skills training, and supportive spaces where women and children can thrive and become financially independent. My hope is to help others rise above their circumstances and create brighter futures for themselves and their communities. Thank you for being part of our journey.

At HDE, each “tree” represents a step toward independence for at-risk women and children. Through skills training and micro-finance, participants invest in brighter futures, supporting their families and communities. Together, we plant hope that will take root for generations.
